Days 2–3: Todos Santos

Todos Santos reveals a different side of itself when you have a little more time to explore the area. The combination of desert and ocean creates a unique landscape, where cactus fields give way to rugged beaches along the Pacific Ocean. The atmosphere is peaceful and authentic, with plenty of space to explore at your own pace.

In addition to the natural surroundings, the town center remains inviting, with its creative vibe and laid-back character. Here, you’ll notice how art, nature, and local culture come together in a single destination.

Tip: Head to the coast and enjoy a peaceful stroll along the Pacific Ocean, far away from the crowds.

Days 4–6: Isla Espiritu Santo

Isla Espiritu Santo is a protected nature reserve and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Sea of Cortez. This pristine island is known for its rugged rock formations, hidden coves, and crystal-clear waters. Due to its protected status, there are no hotels or permanent structures, allowing nature to shine in all its glory.

Day 7: La Paz

La Paz is the capital of Baja California Sur and an ideal base for adventures in the Sea of Cortez. This charming coastal town is known for its atmospheric malecón, a lively waterfront promenade where locals and travelers come together. Marinas filled with sailboats, cozy restaurants, and a relaxed atmosphere give La Paz an authentic character.

Tip: Take a stroll along the malecón at sunset and enjoy the view of the sea and the city’s lively atmosphere.

Days 8–9: Magdalena Bay (Bahia Magdalena)

Magdalena Bay is one of the most important nature reserves on the west coast of Baja California and is known for its vast wetlands and rich biodiversity. This unique area, recognized as one of Mexico’s most important coastal habitats, provides the perfect environment for numerous animal species. Mangrove forests, sand dunes, and secluded beaches create an impressive and varied landscape.

From January to March, Magdalena Bay is the place to spot gray whales, often up close. You’ll see mothers with their calves, and with a little luck, you might even get to touch these impressive animals.
